Off on Another Adventure…

It’s been over a year since I wrote on this blog. Not counting the quick post with the article about my publication, I haven’t posted anything really personal or descriptive or friendly or interesting….

Flowers and running shoes

To be honest, the last year has been a whirlwind. I certainly would have loved to keep up on my blog, but it took a backseat to school, relationships, and life in general. I was working through my fifth and final year of college, seeing a phenomenal young man, being very active with friends on campus, taking care of my new dog, running around Dillon, working on the publication of my book, etc.

And it’s been an absolutely wonderful year in which God has not ceased to amaze me.

But now I’m back and ready to start writing again.

However, a few major changes have taken place which are going to affect the content of this blog.

  1. After 5 years, I have graduated from the University of Montana-Western with degrees in English and Equine Studies. (Hooray!!!!)
  2. I have married my beloved — Alexander Robinson. (Surprise!!!)
  3. Now that I’m married, I’ve moved to Casper, Wyoming. (It’s better than it sounds….)

So, with all that in mind, the posts on this blog are going to shift a little. While I still hope to post information that will be applicable to young Christian women in college, the topics are also going to expand to cover what I’m doing now that I’m out of college. Setting up a house, improving my running, cooking for two, hiking the trails, exploring the Casper area, writing books and articles…. You, my friends, will hopefully get to see it all!

That being said, the central focus of this blog has not changed. I am still endeavoring to follow the path of life that God has set before me. Christ is central to my life, and He remains central to this blog. Perhaps even more so now than before….

Shadows of my husband, myself, and our dog

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in the last few months, it’s that life is a great adventure made up of a series of smaller adventures. Whether the adventure is studying for a final class test, getting lost on the trails of Mount Hood, or cleaning up rotten food after the freezer has been dead for a week, each one is an opportunity for discovery and growth. Some are difficult or heart-breaking. Others are hilarious or exhilarating. But God has given each to us. They are gifts from Him, and we mustn’t overlook them.

In this new chapter of life, I’m setting out on a new series of adventures. Will you join me?

What adventures has God put in your life lately?

What would you like to see posts about? I’m open to suggestions!
